Destined For Greatness

Jordan Tuff is a talented young woman and motivated student athlete. She is an academic achiever and hard worker graduating May 2023 from the University of Miami, with a B.A. in Strategic Communications & Entrepreneurship. In August of 2023, she begins the Master's in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Technology program. SEE RESUME

Her basketball career started at 5 years old playing at a local YMCA, Upward Bound until the age of 7, and a co-ed Rec League at 8; where she won her 1st championship. In the 4th through 7th grade she played for the Greensboro Lady Gaters AAU team. They won 6 AAU State Championships and a National Championship. As a 7th grader, at Kernodle Middle School, she also led her team to win the Big 5 Conference Championship.
In the 8th grade at 13, Jordan played varsity basketball for New Hope Christian Academy (later named Westridge Academy) under former NBA player Coach Delaney Rudd. Armed with a desire to compete, Jordan helped New Hope win their first-ever NISAA High School National Championship. Over the years, Jordan would garner many personal and team accolades, such as 3-peat Title IX National Championships and the Title IX MVP Award with a 22 point 9 rebound performance to upset ESPN's #1 ranked girls basketball team in the country.

As a senior at Westridge, Jordan helped lead her team to a 30-0 record, averaging 19 points and 7 rebounds per game to win the NCSAA Division I High School Championship. She was a nominee for the 2019 McDonald's All-American Game, Triad All-Star Classic MVP, CNN Positive Athlete, and National Honor Society Inductee with a 4.0 GPA.

She received a full-ride scholarship to play for the University of Cincinnati. As a freshman she helped the Lady Bearcats win the Crosstown Shootout Championship and make it to the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship game for the first time in 17 years. Unfortunately, they lost against the 129-0 UConn Huskies. However, Jordan was recognized for Leadership in the Committed to Academic and Personal Success program and made the Dean's List.

In 2020, Jordan transferred to the University of Miami RedHawks Women's Basketball team in Oxford, Ohio. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, she opted to sit out until the 2021-2022 season. Upon her return, she had a game high of 12 points in a win against Xavier University. Regrettably, at the start of a promising 2022-2023 season, she suffered an ACL injury. Now with an NCAA approval for two more years of eligibility, she is focused on rehab and the 2023-2024 season.

Off the court, Jordan is engaged in many volunteer and community service activities. She enjoys acting, drawing, filmmaking, photography, and sailing. She is a recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award.
